Ralph D. Oyler is a native son of Gettysburg. He attended Gettysburg College and graduated cum laude with degrees in both History and English Literature in 1982. Upon graduation Mr. Oyler enrolled in the Northwestern School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 1985. He then took and passed the Pennsylvania Bar Examination and began practicing with the law firm of Wolf and Oyler. During his tenure at Wolf and Oyler, Mr. Oyler tried in excess of fifteen felonies to verdict including two homicide cases and one capital murder case.
In September 1991, Mr. Oyler left the law firm of Wolf and Oyler, and established a partnership with his wife, Karen J. Clark-Oyler. Since that time, Mr. Oyler has limited his practice to representing injured persons. Mr. Oyler has handled over one thousand workers’ compensation claims to decision over his twenty-four year career, and he has tried in excess of fifty personal injury claims to verdict in various courts throughout Central Pennsylvania. He has appeared before the Pennsylvania Supreme, Superior, and Commonwealth Courts, as well as the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia.
Mr. Oyler is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He is a past president of the Adams County Bar Association, and has lectured the local bar in workers’ compensation matters. He is also a member of the Oregon State Bar having taken and passed the Oregon Bar Examination in 1991.
Mr. Oyler was been committed to representing injured persons in Central Pennsylvania, as well as advising individuals with respect to unemployment and other employment related issues.
Mr. Oyler retired from the practice of law in 2013.

Commonwealth vs. Willie Tyler: (Adams County—1991) I successfully represented Willie Tyler who was accused and acquitted of the capital murder of a drug informant.
In Re: P.A.B. 391 Pa. Super. 79, 570 A.2d 522 (1990), I successfully reversed the involuntary termination of the parental rights of an indigent retarded couple.
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., vs. Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board (Rider), 837 A.2d 661 (Pa.Commw.Ct. 2003) reversed, 888 A.2d 758 (Pa. 2005) I successfully reversed the decision of the Commonwealth Court resulting in the reinstatement of my client’s benefits.
